Fort Totten Series: Purple Light is included in a suite of three large-scale paintings that reference the presence of Light during my ritual walks to my neighborhood park, Fort Totten, during the height of the pandemic. Referencing Light in the physical sense, as well as spiritual, was the focus for these works, allowing gestural strokes of color and images of trees to create a sense of spiritual movement.
