Portfolio > RECENT WORKS

For the past fifteen years, the work has centered the spiritual symbolism of trees and their use as vehicles to access ancestral wisdom. I am extending to the viewer my personal interpretation of this aspect of African Spiritual Tradition by utilizing color, line, and movement as a means to communicate my imagined and lived experiences with Spirit while being among the wise trees of Fort Washington National Park.

With this work, I aim to create sacred visual passageways that encourage an elevation of consciousness, personal reflection, and a deepening of one's purpose as a spiritual being living in this natural world, where the need to remember and rely on ancient holistic and spiritual teachings provides the mental and emotional space for grounding, joy and inner peace.
